PRIZES TO BE GIVEN FORMOVIES OF D.C. Five Hundred Dollars to Be Divided Among 13 for Best Suggestions. Plans for a $500 contest to obtain suggestions of scenes in the Capital worthy of use in the mminf of & motion picture depicting the glories of Wash- ington as a city were announced last night. The movie will be shown throughout the country under the auspices of the ‘Washington Chamber of Commerce and the George Washington Bicentennial Commission. Thirteen prizes will be distributed in the suggestion contest. ‘The main award will be $250 in gold. ‘There will be a second prize of $100, a third of $50 and 10 of $10 each. Warner Brothers will produce the picture. The company will !pend about $60,000 on the film which will be dis- tributed through its exchmges Two-reel Film. Entries or essays to cover only 10 numndmg, interesting or important “g] 3. With each suggestion, idea or selection must be 50 words or less ex- plaining why the choice was included. 4. Explanations for su jons or ideas are pomhely limited to a total of 500 words. 5. All entries must be submitted be- fore midnight Saturday, June 7. 6. Contestants may submit as many entries as desired. There will be no geographical limitation. Citizens of the entire United States can compete, only members of the Washington Chamber of Commerce and those re- lated to the committee being barred. 7. Decision of the judges to be abso- lute and final. 8. All suggestions or ideas submitted must become the property of the Con- test Committee. 9. Manuscripts will not be returned. 10. Winning of an award implies no obligation upon the producing com- pany or Washington Chamber of Com- | incorporate ideas, suggestions or “shots” into the Washington picture unless found practical.
