VIENNA, Austria, April 30.—King Carol faces the most dramatic crisis of his career as King of Rumania today as his handpicked cabinet meets the vigorously oppositionist Parlia- ment. ‘The National Peasant party, which controls five-sixths of the Deputies and which, through its leader, Julius Maniu, supervised King Carol's return to the throne, is ignored in the present government and will fight it bitterly. King Carol's little band of picked men cannot hope to survive a vote of onfidence, and thus it is expected that Parliament will be summarily dis- missed. Elizabeth Rogers, 28-year-old gradu- ate nurse, died at Providence Hospital of cerebro-spinal menengitis yesterday after an illness of a week.
