KINEEY PUPLS TOPRESENT LAY {Tech Symphony Orchestra to Play Accompaniment in Staging of “lolanthe.” Final arrangements for the play “Iolanthe,” which will be prgsented by students of McKinley Technical High School Priday and Saturday evenings in the school auditorium, are now being completed, it was announced yesterday. This Gilbert and Sullivan farce will mark the nineteenth season of light opera productions by the McKinley | Opera Club. The Tech Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dore Walten, will play the orchestral accompaniment for | “Tolanthe.” Preparation for the opera is being made under the direction of members of the faculty, with Miss Florence Keene in charge of vocal parts and Miss Rhoda Watkins as dialogue coach. Stage settings are being plan- ned and executed by thie Tech stage crew and the entire production is under the general management of Miss Eliza- beth Defandorf. Students who will enact the leading roles include Pearl Brown as Phyllis, Virginia Evans as JIoianthe, Louise Kenelpp es Queen of the Fairies, Frank Daniel as Strephon, Harry Crow as Lord Chancellor, Joseph Yznaga as Lord Mountararat, Jack Meany as Lord Tol- loler, Denald Prince as the sentry, Mary ‘Talman as Celia, Thelma Neilson as| Leila and Dorothy Miles as Fleta. | ‘There will be a chorus of 60 voie and many dances featured in the pres- | entation.
