OUR vital battles in that slam-bang fight for the District public high school basket ball championship headline the court program this week for schoolboy teams here- about. With all five teams tied in the public high race each with two wins and two defeats at the end of the first series, every game from now is exceptionally .im- portant. Another loss for any of the teams will just about kill their pennant hopes. Business and Western and Eastern and Tech will come to grips Tuesday and Central and Tech, traditional adversaries, and EBastern and Western Friday in title encounters. 3n their first meetings this season ‘Western defeated Business, 28 to 23; conquered Tech, 27 to 23; Tech overcame Central, 26 to 25, and Eastern ‘was a 37-20 victor over Western.
