Changes Pointed Out. ‘The reporting delegation pointed ouf ent changes in the functioning o e gold standard, namely, withdrawal of gold from actual circulation, g eralization of the so-called gold change standard and more gene: adoption of a rigid percentage system. Other changes mentioned were the fncreasing importance of New York as & major lending center and a narro ing of the gold points. On the whole, the task of the cen- tral banks was described as more deli- cate and more difficult than in the past. On the other hand, the report say. the forces which lead to internatio: disequilibrium have changed somewhat Qwing to the growth of international indebtedness and more especially the growth of the short term capital fund, influence of capital and- interest movements has increased, compared mh that of the exchange of commodi- Strains More Frequent.
