PlANES AID SEARCH FOR BANK ROBBERS Craft Soaring Over Alabama Swamp to Guide Force of 300 on Ground. By the Associated Press SAFFORD, Ala. Drcember 18.—Two airplanes have joined the search for four bank bandits believed hiding in Bogue Chitto Swamp, three miles from here The planes took off at dawn and be- gan circling at low altitude the two- mile stretch of swamp lands. Mean- while the ground forces of more than 300, composed of National Guardsmen, gheriff’s deputies and citizens were re- inforced with a new pack of blood hounds. The planes were equipped with ma- chine guns and smoke bombs.
