The alcove of the garden wag transformed into a veritable garden with greens and flowers and a wedding supper was served in the Jefferson room immediately after the ceremony, for the small company which witnessed the rite ‘The bride wore a gown of white satin, the I skirt made of'narrow ruffles and just escaping the floor. The tight fitting sleeveless bodice was trimmed with a rare old rose point lace bertha and her tulle veil was arranged in a close fitting cap with lace at the back and dainty sprays-of orange olossoms on each side. She wore long white loves and carried white orchids and les of the valley. Miss Sylvia Sherby was maid of honor for her sister and Mr. Daniel Sherby, ; her brother, was best man.. Miss Sherby’s costume was of pale blue crepe made on the new lines with long skirt and round hemline, fitted bodice and normal waistline. She wore no hat and carried talisman roses. Mr. and Mrs, Sherby received their guests after the dinner in the ball room, ‘where an orchestra played for dAncing. ‘They were assisted by the bride and bridegroom and Dr. and Mrs. Simon, parents of the bridegroom. Mrs. Sherby wore & gown of flesh color lace made long and with fitted bodice and Mrs. Simon was also in flesh color satin trimmed with iridescent beads.
