GERMAN ROYALTY BATHERS AT DOORN Silver Wedding Anniversary| of Erstwhile Crown Prince Is Observed. By the Associated Press. DOORN, June 7.—A dozen or more happy-faced strangers, with their | children, today came to Doorn and made their way to an old estate on the edge of this quaint Dutch village. | They wore no court regalia or mili- | tary trappings, yet they comprised the | remaining members of the house of | Hobenzollern. and ‘formed the most | notable gathering of that historic line ! since the brilliant pre-war days of Potsdam's splendor. They came to celebrate with the ! former Kaiser and war lord of Ger- | many the silver wedding jubilee of his son, the erstwhile Frederick Wilhelm, Crown Prince of Germany, and his wife, Cecelie. In the group were heads of the House of Mecklenburg, whose line dates back beyond its conguest by the Germans in 1160, as well as the later Hohenzollerns, who ruled Brand- enburg in 1415 and all Germany until the red days of 1918, when the empire crumbled in revolution. Many guests at the anniversary celebration had preceeded the former Crown Prince and Princess. They in- cluded Prince Adalbert, the Duke and Duchess of Brunswick, the Duchess of Hesse, the former Kaiser's sister and the wife of the late Prince Heinrich, the former Kaiser's sister-in-law. Princess Hermine, the former Kaiser's wife, came from Germany yesterday and the two princes, Eitel Friedrich and August Wilhelm, will ar- rive tomorrow. Prince Henry of Reuss went to Hamburg today and thence to Cuxhaven, where the former Crown Prince and his immediate family greeted his wife, who returned from Argentina on the steamship Cap Norte and where the Nationalist Women’s So- clety made a gift to her for the char- ities in which she is interested. ‘The former Crown Prince, after quietly observing the actual anniver- sary date at Hamburg yesterday with his wife and two sons, Wilhelm and Hubert, and two daughters, Alexan- drine and Cecelle, will join his relatives here. The Doorn celebration will be of a private nature and will consist of di- vine service in the chapel of Doorn Manor and dinner in Count Bentinck’s home.
