CHICAGO, May 15—A $5,000.000 hospital, 30 stories tall, with kitchenette apartment for wealthy convalescents, will be built on Northwestern® Univer- sity’s downtown Chicago campus. Culminating eight years of effort, trustees of the Wesley Memorial Hos- pital decided yesterday to reaffiliate their institution’ with the university and 1o erect “the finest 600-bed general hos- pital that can be built.” The hospital will adjoin and be operated in' eonnection with_the uni- versity's Medical School. Both are| Methodist_institutions. Two million dollars additional has al- ready been spent by the trustees for the hospital site. The Wesley Hospital will be sold, the trustees said, and the money in a fund for charity cases. The three-room _kitchenette apart- ments will be renfed at $100 a day. However, more than two-thirds of the patients ‘will be cared for at rates less than the present average hospital cost and much of the treatment will be free, George W.
