PAIRFAX, Va., March 18—The { grand jury yesterday at_the opening of the March term of Fairfax County Circuit Court, returned true bills on all indictments presented by the commo! | wealth. C. C. Carr acted as jury fore | man. Informations were filed by the commonwealth in & number of addi- | tional cases for violations of the pro- hibition law, A number of those indicted pleaded guilty and were sentenced be- fore court adjourned. Everet{ Lacey and Harvey Lacey, both pleaded gullty to charges of house- | breaking, the former being sentenced to | two 's in the penitentiary, the latter | | to one year. Four cases against them | were presented consolidated, the | men “being charged with robbing | Chester Taylor twice and robbing | Edmund Davidsen and R. E. Talbert once, Gets Year Term. Thornton Cissel, indicted on a charge of unlawful transportation of ardent spirits, was fined $100 and given a 12 months' sentence. Charles Brooks in- dicted on a charge of sale of liquor, a second offense, was given & $5 fine and six months in jail. Harry S. The cases against Herbert Keys { on charges of sale of liquor and Harry Kreuse, a second offense sale, were continued at the request of the accused. Spencer Mulligan will be tried March 26, James Dewey Washington, March 28; Stanley A. Jadlowie, March 20; B. F. MoKenney, March 24; Albert Graef, March 28: all on charges of driving while intoxicated. The cases | against John F. Fletcher and John T. Cooke on like charges were continued to the next term. Two indictments were returned against John Woodlawn on charge of sale of liquor, second offense, his case to be tried on the 27th. Information filed against Annis Woodlawn on a charge of lon | and transportation will be heard on | the 25th.
