WMBUTLER TO RUN FOR SENATE AS DRY Massachusetts Candidate for| Republican Nomination Supports Hoover. By the Assoclated Press. N, March 14—Willlam M Butler last night announced the pl form on which he would seek the Re- blican nomination for the United tates Senate. In & prepared state- ment he said he 'was opposed to re- peal of the eight- eenth amendment and stood without ification behind ident Hoover's views on prohibi- tion. On the death of Senator Henry Cabot Lodge in 1924, Butler was appointed to fil the vacancy, but when he sought |§ election at the ex- piration of his term, he was defeated 1. Walsh, Democrat. You know there is nothing so good for your health as to be told by an expert that you are as sound as a bell But | is that enough for the job in hand? | 1 think not. That is why I went into training, not with the same sacrifice required of potential oarsmen in a boat | race, or with the athletic activities of a | heavyweight boxer; but still, moderate | training. My physician has been at-| tending to my lungs, that is to say he has devoted attention to that part of | me which was most likely to produce superlative health. I have had breath- | ing exercises and I have been moderate in tobacco and alcohol. It was put bluntly to me that the silver Bullet was the fastest car in the world and that it was up to me to submit to such treatment as would make me the healthiest man in the world. And believe me, there is great satisfaction in the glow of health which comes from being superlatively fit. Special Breathing Exercises. Coming over on the Berengaria my doctor gave me special breathing exer- | cises. He says he is making a super- man of me, so far as health is con- cerned, because I have got to drive a super-car in _a super-performance. Well, 1 am inclined to agree. He is not a very exacting doctor. I do not have to depart from the normal to any appreciable extent, but he sends me to bed like a naughty schoolboy sometimes, and he admonishes me if I want more than the quota of cigarettes allowed. I am, as they say in horse-racing pariance, sound in wind and limb, and it but remains for me to tackle the job for which I have been supertuned. probably is the fact that as a result of this “supertuning” my blood pressure will not mount nor my pulse race so TO meet the fast growing demand for: Gulf Service .we are opening Stations at 15th & Church Sts., N.W. 2nd & “H” Streets, N.
