Anyway, White- foot looked up in the bush where that big hornets’ nest used to be. He almost fell over with surprise. Once more he | rubbed his eyes. There was that big | nest up there. It wasn't quite where it had been, but it was very near it. There couldn't be any doubt about it. Once more Whitefoot was of two minds. He wanted to scramble up and see if his nest inside that wasps’ nest was undisturbed. At the same time he was afraid and being afraid, he wanted to run away. Before Whitefoot could quite make up his mind, Peter Rabbit came along. “Hello, Whitefoot,” said Peter. “What are you looking at up in that bush? Haven't you ever seen a wasps' nest before? That nest has been there all Winter. I've seen ‘it every time I've passed this way. In fact, I saw it last Summer, but I took good care not to too near it then. By the way.
