TWO BOMBMAKERS GIVEN LONG TERMS IN PRISON Chicago Court Imposes Maximum Penalty Icllowing Conviction by Jury. By the Associated Press. CHICAGO, February 27.—Bomb case convictions, which have been rare in comparison with the high number of bombings, had two added to their num- ber Tuesday. A jury convicted Michael Casselli and Steve Ficke on charges of years' imprisonment, When' he left the court room for home he was escorted by a police guard. As the verdict was read Casselli leap- ed onto a chair, shouting curses on judge and jury. Gus Prm, a third defendant, was ac- WASHINGTON. MAY LOSE PHILHARMONIC CONCERTS Capital Committee Guarantees Re- quirements, but Baltimore Statement Is Lacking. T. Arthur Smith announced today that the intention of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra to abandon Washington and Baltimore concerts next season, owing to the increasing expense of touring, has been overcome by the Washington committee, who a guarantee to meet the re- qusr-nenu here. Baltimore has not yet made a definite statement, but it is hoped it will not be responnble for Washington losing these concerts, as the orchestra cannot make the trip without combining the two cities. ‘Washington’s last concert of the Phil- harmonic Orchestra will be given Tues- day afternoon at Constitution Hall, with Arturo Toscanini conducting.
