Wood of In- diana was elected unanimously for the Afth time chairman of the National Re- publican Congressional Committee at a meeting of the committee last night in the Barr Bullding, the Republican head- quarters. Mr. Wood has served as chairman of the committee since 1921 and directed the Republican congressional campaigns in 1922. 1924, 1926 and 1928. He will direct the campaign for the election of 8 Republican House next year. Representative Tilson of Connecticut majority floor leader of the House, wa. elected unanimously. also for the fifth time, first vice chairman of the com- mittee. Mr. Tilson has served as eastern campaign director for the committee.
