Miss Belle O'Donnell, returning to her apartment in the Annapolis Hotel early last night, found the door jim- tnied and jewelry valued at over $200 fmissing. The list included several an- tique and initialed pleces. Clothing Is Stolen. A duplicate key was thought to have bene used to gain admittance last night to Apartment 1, 1338 V street, where = thief took $50 worth of wearing ap- parel, according to Edith and Lillian Sullivan, the occupants. Two sample cases containing an as- sortment of musical instruments valued at $370, were pilfered last night from an automobile parked at Eighth and F streets. They were the property of Harry Perlberg of New York City. The thieves shattered the glass to get at Perlberg’s cases. Patrick J. Bligh, 1908 Pennsylvania avenue, reported the loss of $150. The money, he stated, was taken from a closet in the hallway on the second floor of the building between 3 and 5 o'clock this morning. Man Seen in Building. Efforts are being made by the police to find an unidentified white man, who ‘was seen on the third floor of 1327 F street shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He is wanted for question- ing in connection with the taking of & handbag belonging to Mrs. Carl Smithson. The handbag, containing more than $30 in cash and papers, was taken from a desk in an office. A purse containing a small sum of ‘money, property of Sabina Eshelman, 3624 Connecticut avenue, was stolen from a desk in an office in the Albee Building yesterday. The purse, minus its contents, was later found in'a hall- way in the building. Billard Is Speaker. Rear Admiral F. C.
