NELSON A. CRAWFORD QUITS FEDERAL JOB Resigns Agriculture Information Post to Edit Magazine for Capper. Nelson Antrim Crawford, director of Information of the Department of Agriculture, has resigned and will be- come editor-in-chief of Household Maga- zine, published by Benator Arthur Cap- per, he announced today. Mr. Craw- ford has been con- nected with the Department of Agriculture for about three and a half years. He will take up his new duties in December. Mr. .Craw well known field of jcurnalism. He came to Wash- ington from the Kansas Siate Agri- cultural College, where he was head of the department of journalism. He formerly was in daily newspaper work and has served on the staffs of several magazines. He is the author of several books and has con- tributed to many periodicals. His latest work was a satirical novel, “A Man of Learning.” A text book on journalism, “The Ethics of Journalism,” is another of his works. He is general editor of the Borzoi handbooks of journalism, has done special editorial writing for the Encyclopedia Britannica and contributes to the Encyclopedia of Social Sciences, the American Yearbook and other pub- lications.
