By the Associated Press. ‘L COPENHAGEN, October 4.—Bert | Hassell and Parker Cramer, American | fiyers who were rescued in Greenland, | sailed for America today as guests of the Scandinavian-American Line. Be- fore leaving they reiterated that they | desired to make another attempt to fly the Atlantic next year. Hassell and Cramer started from Rockford, TIl. in their plane Greater | Rockford on August 16 in an attempt to fly to Sweden, with intermediate land- ings a%_ Cochrane, Ont. and Mount Evans, Greenland. ' Leaving Ontario on | August 18, they flew over Fiskernaes, | Greenland, several hundred miles south of their objective, the next morning and | then disappeared | On September 2 word was received from Greenland of their rescue by members of the University of Michigan | 2 Greenland expedition, which has a base | at Mount Evans. They had made a | forced landing at Point Sukkertoppen on August 19 and for two weeks had | been trekking overland. Harvey Clay, had fur- nished him with liquor over a period of several years, Mrs. Hazel Clay sued the elder Clay for $15,000. She alleges that as a result of her husband's heavy drinking she was forced to leave him. Wesley Clay paid a fine of $100 after pleading_guilty to a liquor charge in Circuit Court. Officers who raided his place claim to have found a large quantity of brandy and beer.
