W) ‘The citizen of the District of Colum- bia who is deemed to have performed the greatest service to the city and who has been most agtive in civic affairs during 1923 and cach year thereafter will be awarded a gold watch, to be esented by c Washington Real tate Board, officials of the board an- nounced last night. Designed as a means of recognizing the work and ability of public-spirited citizens, who devote much time and thought to the good of their communi- ty. the award by the Real Estate Board is to be known as “The Washington Real Estate Board's Service Watch.” The selection of the person deemed worthy of the award is to be placed in the hands of a committee of representa- tives of local civic associations, exclu- sive of members of the real estate or- ganization, and . distinguished _citizens of the city, to be named by officials of the realty board. The service watch, which will be suitably inscribed. will be awarded | N shortly after the close of the year, 1928. and probably at the time of the annual banguet m:eting of the Real Estate | Board. z | Rules for the award and the appoint- | ment of an awards committee are to| be announced in the near future. The award was decided upon, officials of ! the organization state, because of the members of the board take in | ctivities and their desire to see | outstanding services recognized.
