Two children died within the last 30 days under somewhat mysterious circumstances and Allen’s father died unexpectedly two years ago while chopping wood. Authorities said collection of in- surance money was a possible mo- tive in the poisoning of Mrs. Allen. She carried §550 insurance, while the two children were insured for $i90. W. F. Manglesdorff, Little Rock chemist, testified at the inquest that he found 1.56 grains of poison in the stomach of Mrs. Allen. The State charges Mrs. White bought and pre- pared the food in which the poison is said to have been concealed.
