Kirk, former Honolnlu photographer, was murdered with his hands tied. not shot in_a duel. and that rivairy over the affections woman may have prompted hix siay ing and the suicide of John Truden whose body was found ai Jacumba last Monday, was heing scrutinized hy police today A latter writgen by Truden told of a duel at 12 paces with pistols. and ex plained that since h- been vie torious in the exchange of bullets with Kirk, his enemy for six vears. it Aevolved upon him 1o commit suicide Late jesterday. however. the city 1l of Tmperial found a knotted pcking. & knotted neck tie and an Army beli, all bloodstained cealed near the spoi where Kirk's body was found. Wisps of hair re sembling Kirk's clung to the stocking and necktie, which apparently had been cut from the body of one who had been gagged with the siocking while his hands were tied with the necktie and his feel bound together with the bell.
