Edmundson, officials in addition to deriving handsome laries for their services, went retly” into the tobacco redrying ness'at South Boston and during 1922, 1923 and 1924 made a clear profit of $500,000 by favoring the concern in which they had invested money by redrying contracts. They are charged { with “graft” and with “wrecking” the organization. Fifty-two charges are brought directly, and 42 interroga- tories are filed, to which answers are requested. The declaration goes into minute details of redrying contracts and at one point declares that Robert A. Wade, after informing high officials of the information which he had, was urged to “keep quiet” for the sake of the organization. s: HOOPER WINS IN PRIMARY. in Michigan Will Face Carney Congresstonal Election.
