THE SUNDAY STAR, WASHINGTON, HAVE spent my business life in the automo- tive field. I have devoted years of intensive study to internal combustion motors. I have scen too many products fail which at first glance seemed meritorious, to base my judgment on first impressions. Frankly, I am very skeptical about 2/ new products. That is why, when the inventor of this super-fuel ingredient came to me and said: “Mr. Boyce, I have it—the one thing necessary to make gasoline a per- fect fuel—.” I said: “It sounds fine—but—.” You are not interested in what I said. This is what 1 did. I sent 150 cans of super-fuel ingredient to 150 dif- ferent people, all the way from Boston to Denver. I told them how to use it and asked them to let me know what happened. Within two weeks I heard from 149 who said that their motors ran more sweetly, showed more power, that every bit of carbon had disappeared, and spark plugs and valve caps were absolutely dry. But there was one answer missing and that one worried me. At last I heard from him. He said that he had uscd the product, and did not notice any difference at all in the operation of his car. In other words, it apparently was not 100 "per cent. perfect. Three days ago I heard from him again. He found that after he had driven his car 500 miles, he did notice a difference, a very appreciable difference. He said that his engine was running better than it ever had before—had quicker acceleration and added power. That made my first test 100 per cent. good. But I'was not satisfied. I bought the worst carbonized car I could find, 2 car so bad that it knocked if it did over 15 miles an hour on the level. It could not go up an easy hill without pounding. D. €. DECEMBER 9. 1923—PART WARNING Unscrupulous dealers are trading on Boyce-ite’s popularity. Yoy are warned against buying inferior substitutes that injure metal surfaces. A Boyce-ite is absolute- ly harmless—it’s an oil. Know it by its peculiar, individual odor. THE SUPER~FUEL Ingredient FOR AUTOMOBILES I put the new super-fuel ingredient into its gas, and after 8o miles driving, it breczed along at from 33 to 45 miles an hour without a murmur. It even took Fort Lee Hill, the worst hill around New York, on high, without the sign of a buck or a knock. I have driven one of my own cars of a type notori- ous for rapid carbonization, for more than 22,000 miles, and never had the carbon removed or valves ground—and today that motor is clean as though 1 had had it polished. Finally, I had scientific tests made to prove beyond a doubt that I had something worthwhile. These tests convinced me. Now I am sure I am right. Lots of people won’t believe it, many will laugh at it, but that is true of every new discovery that is worth its salt, However, I am convinced and I believe I can say without fear of being thought conceited that I know more about this particular thing than any garage man or chauffeur in this city —of course I have had more experience with it than any of them, and I say that thisisactually the super-fuel ingredient. In fact, I have called it Boyeeie because I am proud of it and sure of its success. I would not do that if I were not positive. Further, I want to go on record with a guarantee JBeoycefle GOES INTO YOUR GAS TANK. [ENTER JBigcefle —EXIT CARBON KNOCKS FOREVER. to any motorist who uses Boyee-ite and does not find it living up 100 per cent. to what I say about it, that [ will have his carbon burned outat my own expense. That is how sure I am. Now here is what [ claim for Boyce-ite : FIRST, that after 25 to 500 miles driving (depend- ing on the design of your motor) every knock caused by carbon in the motor will be gone. SECOND, that if you use it steadily, you will never have to clean your spark plugs, scrape carbon or grind valves—think what this means to you. THIRD, your motor will immediately show more power and quicker response. FOURTH, Bovwede costs you nothing, because Bageesie saves more than it costs. Now remember, Bovedle is not primarily a carbon re- mover, itis a super-fuel ingredient. But one of its char- acteristics is to make combustion so perfect that carbon troubles and the necessity for grinding valves and clean- ing spark plugs are done away with forever. Added to gasoline it makes a perfect fuel. Beoredle comes three 4-ounce cans to the carton, and the carton of three cans sells for $1.00. If you have a carbon knock in your motor, use one can to every 10 gallons of gas, this means but a fraction over three cents a gallon. If you use it steadily you will never have to have your valves ground or carbon taken out, because there won't be any carbon. You can use your car for years and the motor will always run like new. Now then, here’s my proposition: Go to any garage, automobile or accessory store or gas station in your city, buy two or more cartons of (it costs you only $1 a carton); use according to directions, and if you are not satisfied that what I have told you is an absolute fact take your cér to your regular garage, have your motor examined by an expert, and if your trouble is due to carbon have that carbon burned out and send me the bill. You cannot lose by the proposition and I say, speaking from my years of experience with automobile motors, that you are going to have your eyes opened. Once you drive a car §00 miles with Bowe# in your gas you will never drive again without this super-fuel. Bgeedie is an oil. It positively cannot harm your motor in any way —on the contrary, will increase its power, make it more responsive, more flexible, reduce its gas consumption and elimi carbon troubles forever.
