"USES AUTO PLATE FOUND IN STREET “Youth Fails to Register Car He - Bought for $40 Earl Williams, 20, of 59 Oak street, bought an automobile for $40 recently and before he regis- * tered it he had what he thought was the good fortune to find a marker in front of his home, so he put it on the rear of the car and last eve- ning started for the “Sandy Bot- tom™ pond to enjoy the bathing fa- cilities. Shortly after 10 o'clock he was on Biltmore street and Sergeants P, J. O'Mara and M. J. Flynn noticed the single marker. They questioned him and he admitted that he had not vegistered the car as required by law. The marker belonged on a sedan registered in the name of Joseph FKin of 49 Oak street. Williams admitted his guilt and had nothing to say in police court today. Asked if he had an opera- tor's license he produced it.
