This is & part of the 1,300 miles of trails which have been mapped and marked by the commission in co-operatawn with the Maine Horse Association, A similar folder for Cumberland and York Counties will be completed soon. One on the Chesuncook section was published last year and others will follow until the entire system is cov- ered. Eight trails covering the two coun- fes are described, giving lists of ac- commodations for both horses and riders. All are over dirt highways, when possible, and heavy traffic 15‘ evaded in most cases. DUBLIN, July 24—The Irish Free State government will waive the usual visa charges for members of the Ameri- | ican Legion and their families who | t Ireland as part of the pilgrimage | to Europe, which will follow the na- | tional convention of the Legion in New York in September, it has been announced. The Free State officials will accept the official Legion certificate of iden- tity in lieu of the American passport for the Legion pilgrimage members. The Free State will further dispense with the requirement of a visa on this document to facilitate entry into Ire- land by members of the Legion and their families. The action of the Irish Free State authorities in waiving the visa re- quirement for the American Legion follows that of the United Kingdom which removed the requirement on British visas a few weeks ago.
