SOUTHEASTERN . bIVES 123 DEGREES Representative McCormack Addresses Graduates at Commencement. “This country needs men of learn- Ing and culture to settle the stupen- dous and far-reaching prohlems,or it must stumble through the very chaos of blind experiment,” declared Rep- resentative McCormack of Massachu- setts last night in an address at com- mencement exercises of Southeastern Yniversity, held in Memorial Conti- uental Hall. “Our Nation is passing through a erisis. The advance of science and technology is pressing against our laws and customs. Under the pressure of new inventions and new processes | we are faced with new problems,” the speaker told the 123 members of the graduating classes, the university offi- cials and guests. Mr. McCormack was introduced by Representative Randolph of West Vir- ginia, & member of the faculty of the School of Accountancy of the univer- | sity. Dr. James A.
