DR. H. R. BROWN TAKES NEW POSTS Veterans’ Administration Will Be Represented at Medical Meetings. Retirement of D:. Henry Rolf Brown, chief of the tuberculosis divi- sion of the Veterans’ Administration, and his appointment as official rep- resentative of the administration at three important medical meetings in Milwaukee and Atlantic City, N. J., were announced today. Dr. Brown entered the Veterans’ Administration in 1922, and since July 1, 1934, he has been in complete charge of all tuberculosis work among ex-service men, establishing a nation- al reputation in that field. Gen. Frank T. Hines, administrator of veterans’ affairs, expressed regret at Dr. Brown's loss through retire- ment. Dr. Brown will be the official representative of the Veterans’ Ad- ministration at the American Tuber- culosis Association in Milwaykee May 31. He will go to Chicago to make a survey of the tuberculosis division of THE EVENING STAR, WASHINGTON, D. C., THURSDAY, MAY 27, 1937. Hines Memorial Hospital. He then will go to Atlantic City to represent the Veterans’ Administration at the annual convention of the American Medical Association and sessions of the American Academy of Tubercu- losis Physicians. Dr. Brown was born in San Fran- cisco and began private practice in Providence, R. 1. He entered the Army October 9, 1917 as captain of the Medical Corps and he organized base hospitals for overseas service during the World War and served in France as commanding officer of Base Hospital No. 94.
