NEW YORK, April 14—The bond market recorded another well bal- anced advance today in which United States Governments were well up with the leaders. The market for Federals, in the opinion of traders, took notice of the letter sent by President Roosevelt to bureau chiefs urging economies in their operations. The President's comment on failure of Federal reve- nues to reach expected proportions touched a subject with which financial and investment circles were dlready familiar. Treasury and guaranteed loans es- tablished early gains ranging from 6-32 to 13-32 of a point and most were holding steady at the advance. Some of the junior rails added a point or more to the substantial ad- vances of Tuesday, and corporates generally moved in a fractionally higher range. INVESTING COMPANIES NEW YORK.
