BALTIMORE, January 4 —Industrial and general building projects totaling $939,264,000 during the last 12 months. in the 16 Southern States set an all- time record for the section, the Man= ufacturers’ Record reported today. The publication listed $126, mooo for general building, $230,036,000 for public building, including roads and streets, and $414,492,000 for industrial plants and engineering projects. More than $322,000,000 was invested in new plants and improvements, the Record said, with over $60,000,000 in- vested in paper mills, $22,000,000 for expanding textile operations and $53,- 000,000 for greater steel and iron pro- duction facilities.
