INFANTILE MALADY ROUSES ALABAMA Health Official Warns Public Prevalence Is Worst in History of State. By the Associated Press. MONTGOMERY, Ala., July 4—Dr. D. ©. Dr. Gill, director of the Bureau of Epidemiology, declared there were 42 cases in the northern part of the State, with 31 cases reported since June 1. No fatalities have resulted. Dr. Gill said, “The present epidemic is not as serious as was suffered in several other Southern States last year.” He added he had asked county health officers to discourage gatherings which may bring children together. The tickets were paid for by the Canton adminis- tration. Unexpectedly word came from Shanghai the delegation would not be permitted to land.
