BACON'S DAUGHTER T0 BE BURIED HERE Miss Alexandra Bacon Dies of Pneumonia—Stricken With Cold at Sea. | NEW YORK, December 16 (P).— Funeral services for Alexandra Bacon, daughter of Representative Robert Low Bacon, will be held tomorrow afternoon in St. George's Church. Interment will be at National Ceme- tery, Arlington, Va. Miss Bacon died Saturday of pneumonia. Miss Bacon, who was 21, was stricken with a severe cold Wednesday when she returned from Europe with her mother on the liner Washington. She was taken immediately to the hospital. Six weeks ago, Miss Bacon had gone to Europe to visit her sisters, Miss Vir- ginia Bacon, a student, in Germany, and Miss Martha Bacon, who is study- ing in France. Representative Bacon was cruising in the Gulf of Mexico when notified by cable of his daugh- ter's death and began his return trip by airplane immediately. Miss Bacon, a granddaughter of the lace Robert Bacon, former Ambassa- dor to France, was a graduate of Miss Hewitt’s School. She made her debut in September, 1932, at a ball by her grandmother, Mrs. Robert Bacon, at Old Acres, her home at Westbury. The following June she was presented at the Court of St. James. Her mother, who 1s vice chairman of the Republican State Committee, was to have spoken today at a dinner of the New York State Affairs Committee of the Women’s National Republican Club.
