November 29.—Ha- dassah, the women's Zionist organiza- tion in America, swung its full support today behind a movement transferring Jewish children from Germany to Palestine. A resolution accepting the American agency for Youth Aliyah program was adopted unanimously at an early morning session of the National Con- vention of Hadassah. It meant a change in policy for Hadassah, which has been engaged 25 years in develop- ing medical work in Palestine. Developmen of Plan. Delegates said their decision would mean development on a larger scale for the plan of removing German- school and face the loss of further education. The resolution was adopted follow- | ing a report from Mrs. Edward Jacobs, national president of Hadassah, in which she outlined observations made during a recent visit in Palestine. She| praised the movement for its efforts in salvaging youth. . While present plans had not been ecompletely decided, delegates said the initial move would be for the transfer of about 100 children, between 15 and | 17, taking them to Palestine and | placing them in agricultural d\stnc{é.l Mrs. Jacobs said organized Jewish eommunities in Palestine were now |~ able to direct the medical work and that Hadassah’s medical and public health services could be turned over to them. The plane (Curtiss-Wright) was tested by Eugene L. Vidal, chief of the bureau, who flew it to Wash- ington from St. Louis, where it was built. It was developed to meet rigid tests as to flying speed, landing speed, operating cost and safety to make it as practicable for the private owner.
