FRENCH GOLDLOSS MOUNTS FURTHER About $90,024,000 Taken Out of Nation in Week, Bank Reports. By the Associated Press. PARIS, November 1,364,000,000 francs in gold (about $90,024,000) during -the week ended November 22 was reported by the Bank of France. This loss reflected the heavy gold shipments which during the last four weeks have drained 8,132,000,000 francs in gold from France’s steadily decreasing gold reserve. The outflow was dwindling, finan- quarters said, but shipments con- d, with the United States dollar quoted at 15.19 francs (6.58375 cents to the franc). The bank showed gold reserves of 69,025,000,000 francs on November 22, providing a banknote coverage of 72.27 per cent. It was reported that gold shipments since November 22 have brought the bank’s gold reserve to less than 69,000,000,000 francs, bt REO GETS BIG ORDER. LANSING, Mich., November 29 (Spe- cial) —D. E. Bates, president and gen- eral manager of the Reo Motor Car Co,, announced that Reo had received an order for 1,199 trucks from the United States Government. This order calls for well over $1,000,000 worth of Reo truck equipment and is one of the largest ever received. NEW YORK, November 29.—An in- creasingly, rapid pace in retail trade this week was reported today by Dun & Bradstreet'’s weekly trade review.
