Further progress cn the new south building of the Department of Agri- culture will be made shortly, it has been disclosed by the Treasury De- partment, in letting four different contracts for construction and instal- lation work. The Laboratory Furniture Co., Inc., ©of Long Island City, N. Y., was given eontract for manufacture and instal- lation of laboratory equipment for the Bureau of Plant Industry, at a price of $50,777, to be completed in 160 calendar days. o E. H. Sheldon & Co. of Muskegon, Mich., was awarded contract for lab- oratory equipment for the Bureau of Dairy Industry in the sum of $59,507, to be completed in 180 calendar days. Aronberg-Fried Co. of New York, which was general contractor for con- struction of most of the south build- ing was awarded contraci in the sum of $87,000 to make certain changes in the south building, including in- stallation of “cold rooms,” and ex- tension of mechanical equipment.
