Be sure to print your own name and address and that of your grocer plainly on the contest blank. Then send it to Washington Contest Department, The Crosse & Black- well Co., Baltimore, Maryland. At the same time, enclose five labels taken from five different Crosse & Blackwell foods or reasonable facsimiles of five different labels. The three winners in this contest who are chosen by the judges will be awarded the three grand prizes and at the same time, the owners or managers of the grocery, deli- catessen or department stores (food departments) where the winning entry blanks were secured will be given similar articles, identical to the prizes awarded the win- ning contestants. For instance, if the judges award you the Packard Automobile, the grocer named on your win- ning entry blank will also receive a Packard Automobile. Read the Rules. Then put the blank in an envelope and send it with five labels taken from any five different Crosse & Blackwell products (or reasonably well drawn facsimiles of such labels) to Wash- ington Contest Department, The Crosse & Blackwell Co., Baltimore, Md. The contest opens on Monday, September 30, 1935 at 7 A. M. and closes at 12 mid- night, Saturday, November 2, 1935. All entries must be postmarked not later than midnight of the closing date. There are three prizes. They will be awarded to the three successful contestants in the order decided by the judges. In addi- tion to these, three identical articles will be given to the proprietors or managers of the stores from which the winning entry blanks were secured. The first prize is a new Pack- ard automobile. The second prize is a Fur Coat worth $260.00. The third prize is a Philco Radio Receiver, retail value $100.00. All entries will be judged on the basis of sincerity, forcefulness and suitability for later use in advertising Cross & Blackwell’s and Company; Miss Betsgv Caswell—Editor of the Woman’s Page of the Washington Star; Earl H. Eastman—Manager of Ad- vertising Department, The Crosse & Black- well Company. Their decisions will be final. This contest is open only to persons living in the City of Washington in the District of Columbia and in cities and towns within fifteen miles of the Washington City Limits, It is subject to all Federal, State and Local regulations. All entries and the contents thereof become the property of The Crosse & Blackwell Company. You may send as many entries as you wish during the life of the contest provided that each entry is on a separate contest blank and is accompanied by five different Crosse & Blackwell labels (or reasonably well drawn facsimiles of such labels).
