Tremaine today sold an issue of $30.000,000 emer- gency unemployment relief bonds of New York State at a net interest co:t to the State of 2.146 per cent. The issue, last of the $130.000.000 suthorized for relief purposes since 1930, was awarded to a syndicate headed by National City Bank of New York, whose bid was for bonds bear- ing a 2'; per cent coupon at 100.5699. | NEW YORK, September 24 (#)— The National City Bank and a: ciates, which were awarded a $30,- 000,000 New York State bond issue to- day by Controller Tremaine, imme- diately reoffered the securities in the New York market and reported a good demand from investment sources. The Treasury reported last night that nearly 64 per cent of the $1,250,- 000,000 in Fourth Liberty bonds called | for redemption October 15 had been exchanged for new securities.
