While the world of science paid its last respects, funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Ernst Georg Fischer, 83-year-old designer and builder of the Government’s tide- predicting machine and many other instruments of precision. Last rites for the inventor-scientist were held at Sergeon’s funeral estab- lishment. Burial was in Rock Creek Cemetery. He made his home here during the World Wer, when he was employed in Goverfiment service. Later he moved to Washington and four years ago retired to Linden, where he and his wife made their home with Mrs. Jones' sister, Mrs. George L. Fox. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Society of the War of 1812, the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America and the Bociety of Colonial Wars.
