600 CITIES TO HAVE PATENT LAW TESTS Thizd Examination Since Coe Took Office Will Be Heid on October 30. ‘With a view to raising the standards of practicing patent attorneys, the Patent Office on October 30 will con- duct the third examination since Com- missioner Conway P. Coe took over the office. The examinations will be held in 600 ¢ities and will preclude 150 would-be patent attorneys coming to ‘Washington at their own expense. Up to three years ago authorization of attorneys was made on the recom- mendations of practicing ai.orneys. In Alaska, Hawail and the Canal Zone.
