NEW YORK, September 4.—The New York Telephone Co. had & net loss of 1,987 stations in August, com- pared with a loss of 4,868 in August a year ago, and a loss of 7,009 in the same month in 1933. In 1932 there was a Joss of 30,578 stations. During the " first eight months of this year the company had loss of 8,155 stations, against a loss of 7.072 in the same month in 1834 and 127,186 in 1933. In the same period during 1932 the loss amounted to 189,530 stations.
