The Constitution Grand Lodge, supreme governing body of B'nai Brrith, will assemble here Sunday for s convention at the Willard Hotel. The outstanding event will be the Monday night banquet, at which Speaker Joseph W. Byrns of the House will address the delegates on “The Jew’s Contribution to the United States.” The 76-year-old president of the Constitution Grand Lodge, Al- fred M. Cohen, will be one of the speakers, as will Judge I. M. Golden of San Francisco. Speaker From London, During the course of the conven- | tion M. Greetings of the local B'nai B'rith will be extended by Abe Shefferman, president of District Grand Lodge No. 5. Mrs. Viner is chairman of the Women's Reception Committee, | which is to meet tomorrow night at | the Jewish Community Center, with other committees, to map plats for | the gathering. Janney, 53, nationally known physician, died yesterday at | his home here. He had been in poor | health since 1934 and had retired from | practice. | A specialist in metabolic diseases, | Dr. Janney established one of the first metabolic clinics in the United States in New York in 1912. | In 1919 Dr. Janney went to Santa | Barbara, Calif, and took charge of | the Potter metabolic clinic there.
