By the Associated Press. RICHMOND, March Relief Administrator William A. Smith yesterday received approxi- mately three-quarters of a million dollars of Federal funds, representing the final installment of the State’s March allotment, totaling $1.004,000 When the original grant was made earlier in the month, it was generally understood the total would be $1.057.- 395, of which a first installment of $927,000 was transmitted. Mr. Smith was informed by the Washington headquarters yesterday that a second installment had been confirmed which exceeded the orig- inal grant by $873.605, thus placing the total of F E. R. A. funds avalil- able in the State for March at an all- time high of $1,931,000. The administrator said ‘the addi- tional grant would aid materially in getting under way with an adequate works program which shortly will ab- sorb the State’s entire relief load.
