Noonan, whose efforts were a major factor in the successful fight for reduced street car fares for District school children, will be held at the Church of St. ‘Thomas the Apostle tomorrow at 9 a.m. Mr. Noonan, pioneer motion picture theater owner, died Tuesday night of pneumofla at Providence Hospital. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond C. Miller, with whom he lived at 6300 Con- necticut avenue; two brothers, Andrew H. of Scranton, Pa, and Thomas Noonan of San Francisco; two sisters, Miss Jane of Cincinnati and Miss Mary Noonan of this city, and two grandsons. Born at Xenia, Ohio, on March 30, 1865, Mr. Noonan’s Washington resi- dence began 33 years ago, when he opened a lunch room at 1008 Pennsyl- vania avenue. Shortly afterward he opened the District’s first movie house near Cabin John. At the time of his death he still owned the Little Theater on Ninth street. Amity Club to Install.
