ROCKVILLE, Md,, January 9.—On the theory that the position of county LINOL supervisor of public school property will be given to a Republican by the Fusion-controlled Board of County Commissioners, several Republicans have become applicants for the ap- pointment. Preston L. Snyder of Travilah and Wilton T. Allen of Chevy Chase, both members of the Republican County State Central Committee, are seeking the job, as are Leonard C. Burns of Olney, Pusion candidate for sheriff at the November election, and Gerald Warthen of Kensington. The Republican Committee will not, it is stated, submit a recommenda- tion.
