By the Associated Press. ST. LOUIS, December 13.—Ques- tioning of E. N. Brown, Frisco Rail- roac Board chairman, yesterday brought out that the road borrowed $1,000,000 from New York banks to secure purchase of 25,000 shares of Gulf, Mobile & Northern Railroad stock. He testified they were bought on his oral order in 1930 and that he reported the purchase to four other | directors. The board, he said, rati- fied the deal in December, 1930, and the loans to secure purchase were made the next month. Jack Lewis Kraus, attorney for a bondholding group, read into the rec- ord minutes of a special Prisco Exgcu- tive Committee meeting of September, 1932, at which the $1,000,000- was released to Speyer & Co. of New York, the road's brokers.
