Disabled American Veterans Four past national commanders of the D. A. V., Robert 8. Mark of Ohio, John . Mahan of Montana, William E. ‘Tate X Georgia and E. C. Babcock of this city, attended the inaugural ceremonies. ‘Among other officials of the organi- zation who came here during the past few days were National Comdr. William Conley of Los Angeles, A. B. Powell of Birmingham, national senior vice com- mander; V. D. Corbly of Cincinnati, national adjutant; Peter Nugent of Connecticut, national junior vice com- mander; Edward Kelly, national reha- bilitation officer at Hartford; Frank Haley, national rehabilitation officer at New York City, and Fred Gibson, na- tional executive committeeman from Alabama. Mrs. Volney P. Mooney, jr, of Los Angeles, national commander of the ‘Women’s Auxiliary of the D. A. V., rep- resented her unit. National Comdr. Conley leaves Wash- ington Wednesday for a trip that will carry him through the various sections of New York and New England, visiting | D. A. V. chapters and inspecting hos- | pitals. Comdr. Conley will visit Buffalo, Syracuse, Saranac Lake, Albany, Boston, Providence, Hartford, New York, New- ark, Philadelphia_and Baltimore before returning to Washington, March 25. Federal Chapter, No. 6, will meet next ‘Wednesday evening in the art galleries of the Sears, Roebuck Co., 1106 Con- nectieut avenue, when 65 new members will receive the obligations. This chap- ter has secured 100 new members since the first of the year. Comdr. Oscar G. Jones last week declared the race for the cup offered by Department Comdr.
