WOMAN’S PAGE. MILADY BEAUTIFUL BY LOIS LEEDS. Correct Measurements. * Dear Miss Leeds: We are three girls of 22, 21 and 17 years of age and in height are 65, 63% and 64% inches, respectively. Wil you kindly tell us our correct bust: waist, hip, knee, calf and ankle measurements? DUTCH AND IRISH. Answer —As every individual differs from every other, the same is true of measurements, and 1 want my readers to realize that there is no definite set of specifications to which all must con- form. However, I will give you certain figures—the measurements ".of _young women supposed to be ideally formed— and you may compare your own meas- urements with them. For a slender young girl in the late teens or early twenties the following figures are con- sidered close to perfection: Height from 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches, and the weight from 120 to 130 pounds. Neck, 1212 or 13 inches; bust and hips, 34; waist, 26; thigh, 19 to 20; wrist, 6 to 7; ankle, 71 to 8; calf, 1315 ‘The figure of the mature woman is naturally more developed than that of a young girl, and she has more right to claim the title of “perfect” because lier development is complete. You may be interested in knowing that the perfect 36 measurements are as follows: Height, 5 feet 5 inches: neck, 13¢ inches; waist, 26 or 28 inches; hips, 40 inches; shoul- ders, 36 inches; upper arm, 12 inches; forearm, 9 inches; chest, 36, 37 to 38 inches; length of foot, 9 inches; thigh, DAILY DIET RECIPE DAILY DIET RECIPE GREEN TOMATO PRESERVES.
