B the Associated Press. CHICAGO, April 18. — Big export buying hoisted wheat today to & new high price record for the season, 69| cents a bushel December delivery. It was estimated that European ccuntries bought 2,000,000 bushels or more from North America. Upturns were in the face of selling of Chicago July delivery by houses with connections scuthwest. The official weather forecast gave little hope of important moisture next week in _the United States grain belt. Wheat closed strong, }s cent off to up, corn '3 lower to % higher, oats unchanged to ' advance and pro- visions unchanged to 5 cents decline. An increase to 20 per cent in the amcunt of imported wheat allowed for mixture with native wheat in France was promptly interpreted as foreshad: owing enlarged demand for shipments from North America.
