Attorneys for the companies had an- nounced the filing of an amendment to | their original bill against the Southern Publishers, Inc., asking immediate ap- pointment of a receiver for that cor- poration with authority to take steps in proceedings at Memphis and Knoxville, where the Memphis Commercial Appeal. Inc., and the Knoxville Journal, In are in receivership. The Southern Pul lishers, Inc., holds stocks of both these corporations.
