The Minister of Jugoslavia, Dr. Leonide Pitamic. will give a reception this afternoon, from 5 to 7 o'clock, in celebration of the birthday amniversary of King Alexander. King Alexander was born December 17, 1888, in Cetinje, Montenegro. He is the great-grandson of Karageorge who first risings of the Jugoslavs in Serbis against the Turks and grandson of the lat: King Nikola of Montenegro. His mother was King Nikola's daughter. King Alexander, as prince of Serbla, distinguished himself in Balkan wars. During the World War he was the com- mander in chief of the Serbian army. He participated most actively in the formation of the Salonica front and in the subsequent victory which brought union and freedom to all Jugoslavs. King Alexander has reigned as King of Jugoslavia since 1921. He was mar- ried in Belgrade, on June 8, 1922, to Marie, daughter of King Ferdinand of Rumania, sister of actual King Carol of Rumania. They have three sons, Crown Prince Peter, born September 6, 1923; Prince Tomislav, 1928, and Prince Andrew. The following also are members of | the royal family, Prince George, brother of the King; incess Helen, sister of the King and widow of the Grand Duke || Prince | Raussia; Canstantinovich of King; Princess Arsen, uncle of the Olga, wife of Prince Paul and daughter | of King Nicholas of Greece, and the Princes Alexander and Nikola, children of Prince Paul. King Alexander is known as a very | cuitured man, a conscintious worker and one of the best European politicians. | | He is best beloved in his country.
