ARLINGTON COUNTY COURT HOUSE, Va, July 17—An amended petition of the plaintiffs in the impeach- ment proceedings against Supervisor B. M. Hedrick of Arlington district was filed yesterday in the office of the clerk. ALEXANDRIA. ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 17 (Spe- cial) . —Work of resurfacing streets and roadways about the city is progressing rapidly. A considerable stretch of the highway from Mushpot road to Wash- ington avenue has been resurfaced. City forces this morning started the work of resurfacing several blocks of Russell road from Rosemont avenue to & point opposite the old city line in Braddock. Work also is progressing on the work of lmprofin’ and_ widening Mount Vernon avenue from Hume Sta- tion to the city line, and efforts are be- ing concentrated at this time on the pouring of the concrete shoulders nec- essary to widen the highway.
