President and Mrs. Herbert Hoover have accepted an invitation to head the lst of patrans for the annual American Legion ball of the Department of the Distriet of Columbia to be given at the Mayflower Hotel Wednesday, April 23.| with dancing from 9 to 1 o'clock. ! ‘The interfor of the two ball rooms of the hotel will be appropriately dec- | orated with the national colors and the flags of the various posts representing the local department.
